Role: Layout Editor
Responsibilities: I began as a journalist with the student newspaper and transitioned to Assistant Layout Editor in my Junior year. In my final two years at the Michigan Times, I worked as the Layout Editor while managing two separate assistants. During this time, we worked to re-brand the Michigan Times to create a modern tabloid. With design changes, the Michigan Times was able to boost our readership by 30%.
